  3. He says that he liked your book and that he thinks it’s for grown-ups. Then he summarizes it a bit (corelings, guy who finds a way to fight them etc.)
Important thing is he liked it. Your fanbase is growing 😉

  5. Hey pete, I have your book, (it arrived a few days ago) and am happy to say I read it in less than 24 hours. The reason I dont say a day is that I started around 5 in the afternoon and ended around 3 in the morning, EPIC story. I hate that I now have to wait 2 years, (possible spoiler) the ending has me sooooooooooooooo exited (not really a spoiler :P)

  6. Also you might want to look into how I got it so early, you have said it releases on the 10th, amazon said the 5th or something, I got it last month (granted preorder)

  7. Dave, the book was meant to release on April 1, though Amazon kept saying April 5. They jumped the gun, though, and sent out the pre-orders a week early, to the delight, it seems, of many readers who had been waiting patiently for some time. So glad you liked it.

  8. 😀 Most epic book ive read all year, it breaks my heart that is was so short (joking here :P) I loved it so much. You may remember me having doubts about Jardir as a main character, but having read it Im now slightly on the fence. (spoiler alert) He has had a tough life and I can really feel for him now. Arlen still has the edge, espesially with the ending (Been having fantasies of where it will go next with that one) but now I want them to become blood brothers again and go to the core to beat on some demons (im a violent person) But I want to see how they will overcome the tensions (especially with the events of desert spear) and if they can do it. In the end either Arlen needs to win or Jardir needs to change the hearts of his people because we all know it needs a happy ending. The ending made me supremely happy, especially given how maybe a bit less than a year ago I mentioned the… new development in Arlen’s story and how awesome it would be. If you were to clone yourself a few times could you complete the next book faster but still the awesome quality of the previous two? Just because I have finished it doesnt mean the journey is over for me though, I read the painted man around 2 douzen times and will do the same to the desert spear, especially with its hardback cover it will be less damaged at the end. I am nice to my books, I never fold pages and never leave them open upside down and yet painted man is still starting to fall apart. anyways. I look forward to the novelette u spoke of earlier and hope it will pass the time until the next book

  9. I got The Painted Man at Christmas. It was awesome. Probably the best fantasy I’ve ever read.

Now I’m expecting The Desert Spear to arrive next week. I can’t wait.

I wonder if there is more action, or love. I was also wondering if Arlen meets his father and tells him everything he’s been through.

Keep it up Peter. You’ve got a huge fan in the Czech Republic.
