I’m a Functional Nerd
A couple of months ago I attended Balticon, and at a live recording of the podcast I Should be Writing (which I will be appearing on soon), I met John Anealio of Scifisongs.blogspot.com, who has an SF/tech podcast of his own called The Functional Nerds with writer Patrick Hester.
Earlier this week they had me on the show as their “Third Nerd”, and we had a blast talking about writing, tech, comics, and the like. You can listen to/download the MP3 for free here, or subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
Check it out.
Just listened to the podcast. Lots of good stuff. You moved up on my cool scale by mentioning clutch.

This podcast is ushering me through a project, at the moment. Thanks for the link.
Clutch is awesome.
I’ve been listening to writing podcasts a lot lately while I work on things around the office, or exercise, or at any other time when I am doing something physical and want to keep my brain active.
Hi there, here is a spanish reader!
I didn’t know well where to post you this comment, but well, I think here will be okay =)
First I’m sorry if I make language mistakes, I’m trying my best to write a nice and clean of mistakes comment 😀
I have to admit that I read “The painted man” by casuality. I was searching for a good book for my boyfriend’s birthday and I didn’t know what to get to him cause he loves fantasy as much as me, but there aren’t many interesting fantasy books in Spain.
There was just one book of “the painted man” in the whole library, I was searching when it just fell from above to my head!
I finally bought it and I could stop from reading it before giving to my boyfriend.
I have to admit that I haven’t been so trapped in a book for a looong time till I found your book 😀 The characters are unique as the whole story, you just can’t stop reading when you start!
I can’t wait, as well as my boyfriend, to read “The desert spear” to know what happens next!
I have to thank you for creating such an amazing story =) and hope that you continue creating loads more!
WoW Ginza! Sounds like the book found you! Wish it would rain great books here in Florida!
Yeah 😀
It was a lucky book rain for me!
Wow, Ginza. Thank you so much! I really love to hear stories like this. There’s no greater compliment to an author than a reader who can’t put the book down.
Congratulations!!! The painted man is number 2 in the iBook sci-fi and fantasy section and the desert spear is not off by much!! Not only that but well done for being an early adopter. The iBook store has a lot of expansion to go but it was brilliant to see one of my favourite books on the store so early!!! Thank you
