  1. Hey Peat,
both women are describing your book (obviously) πŸ™‚
They’re both very fond of the world as well as the characters you have created. The first one took only a weekend the finish TPM. The second one is very fascinated about the world and characters, which have a deeper story around them. Especially, the environment is very important in her opinion, because it’s nothing typical or something she has crossed before (in her words).
In the first video, one can hear what’s written on the book cover and the kinds of demons roaming Arlen’s world and of course that they seem to eat humans, about the wards, what has happened in history, about warders and so on…
I think you remember the story πŸ™‚
If I can help you out in some way with the German stuff feel free to let me know πŸ™‚

  2. P.S. according to the young lady in the first video, you’re Peter van Brett (that’s a nice one πŸ˜€ )

  3. First one:
It’s quite hilarious how she says your name, Peter.
It took her 3 days to read your first book. She explains what the corelings are (Horclinge) and how the wards work, basically what the story is about etc. (I think you know this one ;-D )
Then she compares The Warded Man with LOTR and tells Arlen’s story (without spoilers!), Leesha’s story (without spoilers as well) and Rojer’s story (again no spoilers, good girl).
She says that the book gets exciting pretty quickly and that she ordered The Desert Spear already. The girl bought the first book because she liked the cover and was very surprised that she liked it that much.
    That’s it basically.

    Second one:
    It’s Monday.
    She likes the cover ;-D
She explains how the story works (corelings etc.) and says that she likes the main characters a lot, especially how they evolve.
Then she tells Arlen’s, Leesha’s and Rojer’s stories, spoilerfree.
The woman says it’s a book about an adventure and she does not want to compare the book with LOTR (Heyne compares The Warded Man with LOTR on the cover, she does not like that and thinks it’s a bit exaggerated).
Then she says, that she wants to read The Great Bazaar and is especially excited about reading The Desert Spear.

    Well, that’s my short, short resumΓ© πŸ˜‰
