Il Guardiano dei Demoni
I just found out this morning that Il Guardiano dei Demoni, the Italian translation of The Warded Man, will be on sale February 24 from Italian publisher Newton Compton! They just put out a press release that is making the rounds on Italian blogs and genre sites like this one (English google translation here).
Newton also put together this fun book trailer using footage from LOTR. I can’t understand a word of it. Any Italian speakers out there?
Oooh, looks….huh, actually kind’ve looks a little religious. Did Arlen momentarily lose his wits and join a cult betwixt Brayan’s Gold and his transformation? Is that where he got the sword?
Congrats on the publication date for your newest conquest!
Heehee… Now I can get my mom into it. She’ll be excited to hear about this. WOOT!!
what the… that should be Arlen?
The hole cover looks kind of crappy, i can photoshop that by myself and are far from professional.
But what ever.. my gratulations for the italian translation. Spread the demon world 🙂
Why does he have a sword??? There are no swords in ese books
While there are no swords in the book, perhaps the market research shows that Italian-speaking folk are more likely to read a book of this genre if the cover /features/ a sword.
Whatever gets the book to more of us, I say.
Also; I am a strong believer that “sword” should contain a pronounced “W.” Silent W’s are for wimps.
What little Italian I know translates the title to The Demon Guardian. The clip also says at night the creatures rise from the earth and it mentions the three children (regazzi) who challenge the situation. I guess you don’t have to know too much Italian to figure that out.
P.S.: You should tell the publishers you’re half Italian. You might sell more books!
I bought The Painted Man two years ago in Bournemouth and in these day i’m reading The Desert Spear. Certainly i’ll recommend it at all my friends.
Greetings from Palermo.
