First Law Graphic Novel Giveaway

The First Law graphic novel

Fan of Joe Abercrombie? Then you may know about his awesome graphic novel project. Since April of 2013, Joe has been posting new “pages” online of a graphic novel version of his series The First Law. You can buy the first volume digitally at ComiXology as well as subsequent volumes. But if you were hankering for a hardcopy of the novel, you were out of luck … until now.

The print version of The First Law graphic novel is now on sale over at Blind Ferret with an introduction by Peat, who happens to know a lot about fantasy and comics. We are giving away 1 copy of The First Law to the person who best answers this question:

If Peat and Joe were to make a mashup graphic novel, what would it be called?

Leave your answers in the comments!

  1. If Peat and Joe were to make a mashup graphic novel the title should be “The First Demon Law Cycle”

  2. The Painted Blade? Names are difficult, but it would certainly be a trashy romance.

  8. How about “Tales both Grim and Dark”?

I would think of it as more of a series of interconected shorts bound into a single graphic novel.

Heh, maybe even an alernating series, with one writing as the protagonist and the other the antagonist. Any guesses who writes what? 🙂

Seems more realistic, given their already heavy writing schedules.

    Well, you asked. ;-p

  11. North and South: What would happen if the steely barbarians of the north meet with the demon killers of the blistering south? Blood. Lots of blood and theatric fight scenes (this is PVBrett and Joe Abercrombie after all)
But what happens when Black Dow is saved by an unlikely and exotic hero? Can Jardir melt Black Dow’s ice heart? Can Black Dow fess up to his feelings and cool Jardir’s hot temper?
Rated M. Lots of swearing, gore, and awkward sex scenes.
    (I’m sorry)

  13. I was trying to think of something clever but the best I can come up with is “Tales of Blood and Ichor”. I figure plenty of both would be spilt in this mash-up.

  22. I think it would be called Demon Law.
It could be about the brutality of hierarchy within the world of demons and how anything will be done to rise to the top of said hierarchy

  23. I would call it: “The Coreling within Nine Fingers”
in this book we discover that the other side of our favorite barbarian personality is actually a Coreling essence trap inside his soul. But not any Coreling, he has a fallen Coreling King inside him trying to claw his way out!
