Adding to the growing list of exciting release dates, we are pleased to announce that the U.K. Audiobooks will be released on October 23, 2014!
The new audio recordings will include all three books, the novellas, and Colin Mace will be the voice of the U.K. Demon Cycle going forward. Peat has listened to all the audiobooks first, and everything has been approved! As a sneak peek, you can hear samples of Colin Mace’s work here.
Watch this space on U.K. Audible for the new books with the new narrator! Be sure not to order until the narrator is listed as Colin Mace. Once the link is up with updated narrator, we will share that as well.
The Skull Throne now has a release date! The fourth book in the Demon Cycle will be out in the U.S./U.K. on March 24, 2015. You can check out the official U.S. cover here and pre-order the book here.
Hi Peter,
I wrote a comment on Facebook but in case you miss it I’ll copy it here. Thanks in advance if you respond (which I really hope you do):
Will Pete Bradbury be narrating the US version still? As much as I liked Peter Joyce narrating the UK versions before I think Bradbury did an even better job on daylight War and am sad to see him being replaced for the fourth book here in the UK. Changing narrator three times just seems to be a bit mental and leads to a very disjointed listening experience, if you don’t mind me saying.
Is there any particular reason for this change?

Since the original U.K. audiobooks were full of incorrect pronunciations Peter decided to use the U.S. release of The Daylight War audiobook as the U.K. version as well. Many fans were not happy about the change since they’ve already gotten used to Joyce’s narration.
Having the new narrator for TDW didn’t change the fact that TPM and TDS were still being sold with the incorrect pronunciations. That’s definitely the reason for the incoming releases. Although I’m not sure was to why it’s been decided to get yet another narrator instead of using the already existing U.S. version. Perhaps replacing the word “warded” with “painted” throughout the audiobooks would be too noticeable to the listeners?
The Daylight War audiobook, with Colin Mace narrating, will be released on November 27th! You can pre-order on audible here: http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fantasy/The-Daylight-War-Audiobook/B00PKJ5EZC/ref=a_search_c4_1_3_srTtl?qid=1416325519&sr=1-3
