Mini-Contest: Action Figure Dance Party
Posted by Meg
Peat ran a little mini-contest over on Twitter the other night. While working on The Skull Throne, Peat decided to use his action figure collection to help choreograph a fight scene. Turns out, all they really want to do was dance.
@PVBrett – I use action figures to help mentally choreograph fight scenes. Sometimes, they have a dance party.
@PVBrett – If you have action figures on your desk, I want to see some dance parties, people. There will be prizes.
@PVBrett – Last one, including Renna’s stunt-double. Now back to work.
@PVBrett – OK I lied. I needed to do one more with Jardir pole-dancing his spear.
In response, we got some quality entries along with some amusing tweets:
@scottlynch78 – Spider-Man, Spider-Man / Plotting scenes for the Warded Man / Hey you can’t rhyme / Man with Man / Nyah nyah nyah / Yes we can!
@extremebarg – The Lich King is tragically incapable of dance partying.
@Mikemclendon – you realize you’ve just written the best incentive for burgeoning writers without discipline… Writing requires toys!
@Tenjina – Dance Party!
@mrgregariously – and grifter is the lonely drifter.
@mrgregariously – this one is way better.
@phobophille – Spidey & Stromtrooper potato enjoying Cherno Alpha’s breakdance skills. Dalek is unimpressed, keeps dancin’
The Skull Throne will be released in March in the U.S./U.K. with translations to follow. Pre-order the U.S. edition from Random House today.
