Demon Puns: Winner!
Posted by Karen
Hey everyone! This week’s giveaway was amazing. I can’t even begin to tell you about the hilarious (and groan-worthy) puns we received! They had me in stitches and loved every single one. Even Peat was inspired to get in on the action by showing off this relevant comic cover:
I’d say Peat’s on the right track! But we’d better get moving before this post runs out of steam. Check out a few of the other punny comments we received:
“What do you call a demon that materialises near Brayan’s Gold and knows nothing? A Jon Snow Demon.” -Jon Harrison
“Jardir and Leesha are sitting in his chambers, discussing the attack by the Mind Demon..
‘He really needed to MIND his manners’ said Jardir.. ‘No pun, intended’.” – Linz Powell
“Tibbet’s Brook was relieved to finally get wireless internet – it meant they no longer needed to worry about the cored (cord).” – Sari Beastall
Bebarce sent in a few entries. My persona favorite is:
“The worst problem Arlen has to deal with when fighting in public wearing his loincloth is morning wood demons.” -bebarce
These are all amazing. And the winner of last week’s Warded Wednesday is Markus Edwards who entered this doozy of a conversation.
Leesha: “Why won’t this jar of spaghetti sauce open? Can you open this jar dear?”
Jardir: “Roger that.”
Rojer: “What?”
Jardir: “No. Not you. I was-”
Leesha: “Got it!”
Jardir: “Awsome!”
Asome: “What dad?”
Leesha: “Oh no, I spilt it all over us Jardir”
Inevera: “Look Jardir, it’s all over your Chin. It is Inevera”
Abban: “As cold as a snow demon”
Asome: “What did you say?!”
Inevera: “Enough! Abban, did you bank the money?”
Abban: “I’ll bank demon-ey tomorrow”
-Markus Edwards
I lost track of how many puns there were in this exchange? Really great job, Markus!
If you didn’t get a chance to submit a pun, or if you think of a new one, don’t worry. There will be another opportunity in the future. Also, be sure to tune in tomorrow for our next Warded Wednesday!
