Hey everyone! Feels good to be doing Warded Wednesdays again. Last week Natasha won a copy of Skull Throne with her question to a Mimic Demon.
The question for this week’s giveaway is:
If you had to switch places with any character in The Demon Cycle, who would it be?
Feel free to explain your answers! If you’d walk in Arlen’s shoes (or lack thereof), let us know why. Bonus points for creativity and/or logic.

Without a doubt it would be Renna Tanner, she is a total badass! Once a victimized by her father, she is determined never to be a victim again, so devoted to Arlene that she is willing to eat corelings so that she is ever by his side. My kinda gal !
I would trade places with Leesha. She and I have been through similar things and I would like to recover from them to be as brave and strong as she is. Leesha inspires me to fight for my right not to be scared, manipulated and abused anymore.
I would definitely trade places with Rojer, because I see so much potential in his powers, and I have a lot of ideas how could I use them in a way not described in books, I feel like I would made a difference there!
Without a question Kendall. We both love and play music, we both tumble and we both love Rojer. Though she’s not very central yet, she will be and she will kick ass when her moment comes.

He has much freedom and is great adventurer. He can do whatever he likes and is seeking for answers and never gives up.
As a regular gamer and due to having ability to change gender of characters as pleased, I would probably pick Renna. Main reasons are devotion and unconditional love she feels for Arlen. When I introduced my girlfriend to books, I couldn’t wait for the moment she reads that Renna started eating demon flesh to feel closer to Arlen and understand his darkness or share the pain. I guess strength and courage that come in package are also one of the reasons I would love to explore demon world as her.

I think for me it has to be Ashai. Though she was duped by her brother and her husband, where hope that she was loved triumphed over knowledge of who she dealt with, she is intelligent, quick and is an awesome fighter.
Also, she has grown as a character, realising how much she loves her son when she nearly loses him, and that he can no longer take second place to her need to be a fighter, one as good as any man against both the alagai and the enemies of Jardir.
She is honourable, trustworthy, clever, fast (in both meanings of the words) and good. I hope Peat makes more use of her in future books.
I think I would like to walk in the shoes of Leesha’s mentor Bruna. She managed to save so many lives while she was alive, almost single handedly keeping Cutters Hollow going. Her work continues after her passing which is amazing, having empowered Leesha to fulfil her destiny, it’s a hell of a legacy to leave behind. Plus she kicks ass! Tiny wee doddery old lady and she has every single person doing exactly as she wishes, really impressive and very cool.
