New Contest Entry By Tim Bromley!

Hey everyone! What a weekend for me! We have a few beautiful Visual Journal Contest entries come out, and I get to show them to you over the next couple days! First off, let’s take a look at the entry sent in by Tim Bromley, three sets for each of the main characters of The Warded Man!
First off, Tim showed off some in progress pictures on his Instagram.
Then came the glorious final products!
What I made is a Journal of sorts for each of the POV characters in “The Warded Man”. I used a thick piece of water color paper for each burning around the edges and adding a piece of yarn through the middle to represent a books binding and give them the feel of being old and worn. Each Journal has the POV character symbol on the front cover and are warded on the back cover. The insides of each journal are a collage type image giving a visual story of the characters events that take place within the novel. The images were all hand drawn with pencils, then painted with water colors, then inked with black ink. I think each one is unique in it’s own way however the one for Leesha turned out to be my favorite, which doesn’t surprise as she was also my favorite character in “The Warded Man”. I hope you all enjoy them, I had a lot fun creating them!
Amazing job, Tim! The iconography to the pieces easily lets you know each character its for, and the burnt edges and watercolor make a super cool effect for the pieces! Thanks so much for sending them in!
