Demon Cycle Thesis by Stephen Coholan!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone!

Every now and again I get to show you all something new A new kind of crafted fan art, a new convention or appearance, or a new contest. Today’s subject is new in a way that elevates The Demon Cycle to scholarly heights.

While at WorldCon, Peat met up with a fan who showed him a classy looking tome, one that turned out to be the fan’s thesis for University. Check it out:

As it says on the tin, the subject of Stephen’s thesis is a Feminist Reading of The Demon Cycle.

Stephen was even kind enough to let us post his thesis here. You can read it by clicking here: Stephen Coholan’s Dissertation PDF

Thanks so much to Stephen for being an amazing fan and for allowing us to share this!

Fanart: Leesha Mastercard

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone!

Today I’m showing off a fun idea and item sent in by Demon Cycle fan Istvan Tomoskozi—who maybe you know from some of his awesome contest entries. Istvan decided to get a custom credit card, using the book cover art for The Core as its image!

I knew custom credit cards existed, but I had never thought of adding art from a book cover to it! Props to Istvan for the clever thinking, and for sharing a picture of his awesome card with us!

Fanart: Warded Box

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Hope you all are having a great week.

Today we’re going to look at one fan’s classy way of keeping their copy of the new The Painted Man safe from lurking demons.
Demon Cycle fan Kamik Lazarski has created a stunning Warded box that their book fits in just right.

I adore the use of the light colors on the dark grained wood. It’s such a beautiful looking piece! Thanks so much to Kamik for sharing it with us!

Fanart: One Arm

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone!

I’ve been so happy to see fanart of the Demon Cycle Demons over the past year. The sheer difference in everyone’s interpretation of them is fascinating and beautiful. Today I get to expand that and show you some gorgeous art of everyone’s favorite Rock Demon: One Arm.

Without further ado, check out these illustrations by elliejayart on Instagram!

I love Ellie’s style for these pieces! They’re a master of penciled, both colored pencil and graphite. With those red scales and spikes, and the wicked looking tail in the black/white piece, this one arm is certainly not one to mess with! Thanks to Ellie for sharing this with us!
